About

One contact. A team of professional creatives behind him.

Andrew Walshe-Cutter, Director, The Website Workhouse

Andrew Walshe-Cutter, Director

Andrew Walshe-Cutter directs every Website Workhouse project. He is your single point of contact from the first call to launch: he scopes the work, sets the fixed price, and oversees the designer, copywriter and developer assigned to your site so nothing is lost between them.

He brings a professional project management background across government, financial services and industry, together with hands-on experience running a business where the phone is the sales team. That experience shapes how we build: a website is judged on whether it makes the phone ring, not on how it looks in a portfolio.

Andrew leads a small team of professional creatives who each do one thing well. He keeps the whole job in plain English: a short, defined engagement, one person accountable, and a site that does its job. If you call 0431 972 685, he is the one who answers.

How we work

Plain English, short engagements, honest advice.

Plain English

You will never need to learn our jargon to understand your quote, your build or your monthly report. If we cannot explain something simply, we have not understood it well enough ourselves.

Short, defined engagements

A website build runs three to four weeks and asks for about three hours of your time. Monthly services are month to month. Nothing we sell has a lock-in, and every engagement has a clear start and end.

Published prices, fixed quotes

Our prices are on the website. Larger work gets a fixed quote in writing before anything starts, and that is the number you pay.

We'd rather say no

We'd rather tell you not to buy something than sell it to you. If a single page will do the job, we will say so. If you do not need SEO yet, we will say that too.

What we believe

What a small-business website should be.

Fast

It should load in under a second on a phone on a job site. No page builders, no plugins, no frameworks. Just a small set of hand-built files.

Private

It should respect your customers. No trackers, no third-party scripts, no cookie banner. Nothing watching them and nothing slowing the page down.

Owned

It should be yours. Domain in your name, every file handed over at launch, no subscription you must keep paying to keep your site.

Clear

It should tell people what you do, where you do it, and how to reach you, and then get out of the way. One idea per section and a next step on every page.

Local

It should be found by the people nearby who need you. Local SEO foundations are built into every site from day one, whether you are on the Northern Beaches, the North Shore or anywhere in Sydney.

Finished

It should be a project with an end, not a subscription with a beginning. When the site is live and handed over, the job is done. Ongoing care is there if you want it, and only if you want it.

Related business

Part of the Jotunfjell family.

The Website Workhouse is part of the Jotunfjell family. Jotunfjell Pty Ltd (ACN 692 079 717) is the consulting practice under the same director, working on project management and governance for larger organisations. The Website Workhouse is the small-business side of that: the same discipline about scope, price and delivery, applied to websites for trades and local services.

We disclose this relationship before any build is quoted, so there is no ambiguity about who you are dealing with. You can read more at www.jotunfjell.com.au.

Side projects

Things we built for fun.

The best way to prove that a website can be fast, private and self-contained is to build a few that have to be. Casting Dice is a free 3D dice roller for tabletop gamers, with provably fair rolls, saved macros and encounter tools. No sign-up, no tracking, no framework, and it runs entirely in the browser.

We also build free tools from time to time for the same reason: to show that useful web software does not need a plugin stack or a monthly subscription to hold it up. The techniques that keep those tools quick are the same ones that keep your site quick. You can see them alongside client sites on our work page.
