Branding for small businesses
A logo, colours and a voice that make you look like the established business you are. And a short guide, so everything you print, post or paint on a van matches.
What it is and who it's for
Branding is the small set of decisions that make your business recognisable: the mark on your shirt, the colours on your ute, the way your quotes are written. Done once and done properly, it stops you re-deciding it every time you order signage or post a photo.
It's for tradies, clinics, cafés and professional services that are good at what they do but look like a start-up online. It's also for businesses whose logo was drawn up years ago and no longer matches the work they're winning. If you're about to build a website, this is the step before it.
What's included
- A 30-minute conversation about your customers, your competitors and how you want to be seen
- Two logo directions to choose from, then refinement of the one you pick
- Primary logo, a simplified mark and a horizontal version for signage
- A two-colour palette plus one accent, with the exact codes for print and screen
- Two typefaces that work on a phone, a letterhead and a van
- A tone-of-voice note: how you sound in writing, with three example sentences
- Files in every format you'll need, including print-ready
- A short brand guide, usually four to six pages, that you keep
- Copyright in the final logo assigned to you
What's not included
Business cards, signage, uniforms and vehicle wraps are not included, but we supply print-ready files and will talk to your printer. Trade-mark searches and registration are a job for a lawyer. You get two rounds of changes, not unlimited revisions; two is nearly always enough when the brief is right.

Common questions about branding
Do I need branding before a website?
Not always. If you already have a logo and colours you're happy with, we build the website around them. If you have nothing, doing the branding first means the website, the van and the invoices all match from day one. We'll tell you honestly on the first call.
Who owns the logo?
You do. You receive the final and working files, and the copyright is assigned to you. There is no ongoing fee.
Can I bundle branding with a website?
Yes, and most people do. Branding is quoted separately from the $1,000 website so you only pay for what you need, but done together you get one fixed quote and one design that flows into the other.
Ready to look like the business you already are?
A 20-minute call, a fixed quote within two days, and a brand you own outright.
