We collect as little as possible, use it only to reply to you and do the work you ask for, and never sell it. This page explains the detail in plain English.
Who we are
The Website Workhouse is a business under Jotunfjell Pty Ltd (ACN 692 079 717), based on Sydney's North Shore. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us through the forms on this site or by phone and email:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you give it
- Your business name
- Your website address, if you ask for a free audit
- Anything you write in a message
Nothing is collected in the background. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no trackers or third-party scripts. The fonts are self-hosted, so no font provider sees your visit either.
How we use it
Solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the services you've asked for, including the invoices and reports that go with that work.
We do not sell your details or share them with anyone for marketing, and we won't add you to a newsletter list unless you ask.
How the forms work
The forms on this site are processed by FormSubmit, a third-party form-to-email service. When you press send, FormSubmit receives your submission and forwards it to us by email at hello@websiteworkhouse.com. FormSubmit's own privacy policy applies to that step. We chose it because it needs no scripts on the page.
Once your message reaches us, it lives in our email and business records, protected by passwords and two-factor authentication.
Who else sees it
If you engage us, the designer, copywriter or developer on your project sees only what they need to do their part, works under Andrew's direction and keeps it confidential. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you enquire and don't go ahead, we delete your details after twelve months. Client records are kept as long as tax and business law requires, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@websiteworkhouse.com; we'll respond within one business day and act within a week, at no charge.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
